As President, I manage the overall operations of this volunteer organization, fundraising, and strategic planning. I also present planetarium shows and conduct outreach.

I sing Alto(2) with the Chorale, an auditioned group that presents several free concerts a year in Huntsville. 

Member,  Alabama Senate Joint Study Commission on Advanced Air Mobility

I serve on the Alabama State Commission exploring how to structure legislation to ensure the development of Advanced Air Mobility in the State is done in a way that benefits all Alabamians. The Commission is still awaiting full funding to begin its work.

School Board Trustee

I was an elected Trustee for the Loma Prieta Joint Elementary Union School District until we moved out of the District.
While on the school board, I was the representative to the Loma Prieta Community Foundation and worked with LPCF on resiliency projects.

Local Historian

Trying to figure out who the residents of a small family cemetery in a backyard were led me to working with the Loma Prieta History Museum and a lot of local archive research on the family of Judge Miller. 

HOA Board President

Yes, sometimes the way to beat 'em, is to join 'em. When I lived in Oakland, I ended up as President of the HOA where I lived. This exposed me to the best that neighbors can be, and the absolute petty and vindictive worst. 🙄 Obviously a lot of legal, financial, zoning and facilities stuff too.
